Coral-pink double blooms (up to 35 petals) have lighter edges, age to a rose-pink and offer a moderate fragrance; Average diameter 2.75" blooms are borne mostly solitary, in small clustered, cupped and old-fashioned form; Blooms in flushes; Ovoid buds with glossy dark green foliage; Said to do well even down to zone 3. Bred by Eugene S. "Gene" Boerner (United States, 1952). Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1952 as 'Coral Dawn'.
